Local Groups & Organisations Avon Wildlife Trust Campaign to Protect Rural England - Avonside Clevedon Pier & Heritage Trust Forest of Avon - connecting people to trees, timber and woodland Mendip Hills - area of outstandig natural beauty Somerset Wildlife Trust Stop Bristol Airport Expansion - an alliance of Friends of the Earth local groups, the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE), the Parish Councils' Airport Association (PCAA) and many concerned individuals. It was formed in 2005 to oppose and publicise the impacts of the proposed expansion of Bristol International Airport. Alliance Against the South Bristol Ring Road - opposition to the road's construction. Cheddar Valley Railway Walk Society - helps manage the ten-mile walk and cycleway between Yatton and Cheddar commonly known as the Strawberry Line Portishead Railway Group - the campaign for the reopening of the Portishead to Bristol railway line. |
